The rest of this article is applicable to Advanced and Reseller Hosting Plans.
Subdomains
Subdomains are a way of creating separate accounts within your master account which are then accessed as separate URLs. Example: you could set up a 'timber' subdomain on your master account 'http://www.hardware.org', which would then be accessed directly as 'http://timber.hardware.org'.
To do this ...
login to your Control Panel
find the icon "subdomains"
add your subdomain
Your subdomain will be available immediately and a new directory will be created from your main account with the name of the subdomain. You can begin building a new/different website on the subdomain straight away.
To access the subdomain webspace, use the 'file manager' tool from the Control Panel or ftp direct to: ftp.subdomain.domain.ext (using main Control Panel login details). You can also set up separate ftp details for the subdomain so other users can access it.
Parked Domains
If you have a domain with hosting, you can easily add another domain and point it to the same account. This is known as 'parking' a domain.
Example: you own the business.co.uk and innovation.co.uk domain names. You already have a web site for business.co.uk, but you do not want to create a new web site for innovation.co.uk at the moment.
By parking innovation.co.uk on top of business.co.uk, all URLs for innovation.co.uk will automatically go to business.co.uk instead.

add your new domain name
You will then need to contact your domain registrar and have them change the DNS details to point to your server. The DNS details for your Saffas server can be found in your Welcome Mail however, raise a Support Ticket if you are unsure what these are.

Addon Domains
An addon domain is a domain that points to a subdirectory within your account.
For example, you may want http://www.innovation.org.uk to point to http://www.business.org.uk/innovation/. Addon domains must be registered domain names that you own and that are configured to point to your.

An addon domain will have its own ftp login details and clients can specify what subdirectory the addon domain redirects to.

place an order for a domain (without any hosting or email)
change the DNS to point to the server your hosting account is on
add the new domain to the hosting account as a parked or addon domain
You can add any number of domains to your Advanced Hosting Plans.
