Updating the DNS of a domain is the easiest way to transfer it to a new host provider.
Non-Saffas Domains
If you have a domain registered through a third-party (someone other than Saffas) then you need to make your DNS changes through them.
They may provide an online Control Panel for you to make your own changes online but if they don't then you will need to contact the company who registered your domain and have them make the changes for you.
If transferring a domain to Saffas, check your Welcome Mail for your new DNS details and then give the following instruction to your registrar ...
"For my domain 'change-domain.com' please change the DNS details to the following:
ns1.XXX, ns2.XXX"
Make sure you change ns1.XXX and ns2.XXX with the nameservers shown in your Welcome Mail.
Saffas Domains
If you registered your domain through Saffas or if you transferred the domain to Saffas then you can change your DNS details at any time via the Billing Centre.
2 - in the box 'packages / services', click on 'view/edit' alongside your domain names.
3 - alongside the domain you want to edit, click the 'manage' icon
4 - on the new page, click the link to 'change nameservers'
5 - insert the nameservers detailed in your Welcome Mail
When done, the DNS records should be updated within 15 minutes. If they are not, logout of the Billing Centre then log back in and revisit the 'manage domain' page to make sure the changes have been accepted.
You can check to find out if the DNS changes have been updated by doing a WhoIs Lookup and the following article explains how: Check Status.
